I'm handicapped. Can I get books in the mail?
The library's Books-by-Mail service sends library materials to people who are unable to access the library collection due to a temporary or long-term physical or visual disability. Available materials are large-print books, audiobooks (CD and cassette) and descriptive video recordings (VHS and DVD).
Any Sarasota County resident who cannot visit one of the libraries due to a physical or visual disability may apply for the service. To apply, contact the Books-by-Mail office at 941-861-2503, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
