I am trying to use the databases and find that I need passwords for ea of them. Can you help? What are best guidelines for the regular use of
I wonder if there are public databases that are better than the for profit ones I use at a university. I don't find what I want.
Generally speaking, subscription databases have more schorlarly articles than what can be found through internet browsing. There are some free options available for finding peer-reviewed articles. Most notably is the Florida Electronic Library. Google Scholar is also a good option, however much of what is available is citations and not complete articles.
As for logging into the databases available through the Sarasota County Library System; most only require a valid library card# to access them. If you have probalems with your library card, please feel free to contact us at 941-861-1110 and we'll see what's going on with the card.
